I have one, but... by ObviousTroll (2.00 / 0) #1 Mon Oct 09, 2006 at 02:31:22 PM EST
I have to say that in all the time I've had a gmail account, I've never been given invites to hand out. I wonder why?

Google has a new email service called g-mail ("g" as in "Google"). It's got a pretty neat interface and good spam filters and you can also search your whole archive of emails really fast, which is nice. And they give you a ton of space and say they will give you more! But you can't just sign up: you need to be invited by someone who already has it. So I have five of those invitations and I will give them to whoever posts a comment here that they are interested!

Gmail doesn't use tags for anything, does it? Let's keep it honest.

If I was posting in my own diary by debacle (2.00 / 0) #7 Mon Oct 09, 2006 at 03:33:14 PM EST
That would be pretty lame. You can update diary entries now, you know.

Speaking of which by Bob Abooey (2.00 / 0) #8 Mon Oct 09, 2006 at 03:56:55 PM EST
Has anyone tried googletalk yet? I would like to try it but don't have a mic attached to my box. However if anyone does they can send me a "voicemail" by adding jack.wagner@gmail.com1 to their googletalk friends list, then click the send voicemail link and it will let them record a vm and send it to me automatically.

Anyone up for trying this?

[1] - Actually this is my friends email adr but he will forward it to me.

Warmest regards,
--Your best pal Bob
